During the sixteen days between 25 November and 10 December, Brigidine Sisters invite their associates, colleagues in ministry and friends to join them in the UN Campaign, (supported by ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans), to help eliminate violence against women and girls.
November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. It is also the anniversary of the brutal assassination of three strong women activists in the Dominican Republic.
December 10 marks International Human Rights Day.
The theme of this year’s campaign is “From peace in the home to peace in the world: make education safe for all!’
