Brigidine Sisters remember that their founder, Bishop Daniel Delany was a man who saw a need in the Irish society in which he lived and invited the early communities of Brigidines to respond to the needs of that time in the spirit of Brigid of Kildare,  a woman of hospitality especially to those in need.

Brigidines today continue to strive to keep alive that vision and spirit in this time.
