1 in 3 victims of human trafficking globally is a child

The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (30 July) provides  an annual  reminder of the ongoing struggle against one of the most horrifying  violations of human rights in the modern world.
All people of goodwill  can play a role in ‘eradicating human trafficking and the harm it causes’ (ACRATH’s mission)  – whether through raising awareness, supporting survivors, supporting Anti-Trafficking organisations or advocating for Government intervention.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2024, the United Nations is asking us to consider that:
1 in 3 victims of human trafficking globally is a child.

Hence the theme:  “Leave No Child Behind” –  in the fight against human trafficking.
