Awareness, Advocacy, Action in US

Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”  Education is also key to the prevention of children becoming victims of human trafficking.

Many Brigidine Sisters have been or are still involved in educating young people and adults in various countries and we are also committed to taking action to end all human trafficking – one of the urgent issues of our time.

The following edition of the Anti Human Trafficking Newsletter from the US covers many aspects of these challenges in USA – including issues for children who are at risk, education programs to raise awareness of trafficking today, and strategies for advocacy and other actions.

As women committed to education and to supporting women, we draw encouragement from this newsletter prepared on behalf of the US Catholic Sisters. We will continue to support all such efforts to change the world, especially for the children vulnerable to being trafficked.
