Brigidine Sisters give thanks for Pope Francis’ annual message for the Catholic Church’s World Day of Peace on 1 January 2022. In his message, Pope Francis calls on all women and men of goodwill, on government leaders and decision-makers to walk together with courage and creativity on the path of intergenerational dialogue, education and work.
The Pope acknowledges that sadly the path of peace continues to remain “sadly distant from the real lives of many men and women.”
This message is a call to us in 2022 to continue:
- practicing the discipline of intergenerational dialogue in our lives and communities;
- resourcing and promoting education and awareness raising about issues and needs for human development and
- promoting opportunities for decent and dignified work for all.
