1st Sunday Advent

As you set up your Advent wreath with its candles for the four weeks of the season this year – what will it reflect? Will it reflect the traditional story of God’s people waiting through the ages for the Messiah to arrive? Perhaps it will recall some of the key characters who awaited the coming of the Saviour. Maybe the four candles on your Advent wreath this year will remind you of some of the most significant moments through which God revealed God’s self to us – the birth of the Universe, the birth of the solar system creation, the birth of Jesus Christ and your own birth.
