It’s wonderful to be here!”

The Gospel reading for the second Sunday of Lent Year C is Luke 9:28 – 36.

As we listen we are reminded of those times when we, like Jesus, have gone apart from the busyness of life to pray. Perhaps we have even gone to a mountain or to another part of the natural world where we sense the presence of God and there received some affirmation or encouragement in the face of an inevitable challenge.

As we move through the events of this week of Lent, may we be ready to listen more attentively to the voice of God speaking to us though creation, the daily events of our lives and the lives of others.

In moments of prayer and reflection may we know the presence of our loving God who calls to us through all the events of life.
