The Laudato Si Movement (Catholics for our Common Home) has sent a message to all people of goodwill, highlighting Pope Leo’s recent call for care:
“ At the Raising Hope for Climate Justice Conference, actor and former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger called Pope Leo XIV an “action hero for climate justice.”
Smiling, the Pope turned the attention away from himself and redirected it to the people gathered before him:
“There is indeed an action hero with us — it is all of you, who are working together to make a difference.”
And he ended with a challenge that still echoes today:
“God will ask us if we have cultivated and cared for the world He created, and if we have taken care of our brothers and sisters. What will be our answer?” “
