World Environment Day – Thursday 5 June 2014 

 World Environment Day – June 5 2014 – was established by the United Nations in 1972 to encourage worldwide awareness and action for the environment. It is now a global event celebrated in over 100 countries. The theme for World Environment Day 2014 is “Raise your voice, not the sea level” focussing on the threats of climate change to many creatures, human and other, who dwell in low lying land regions, especially those on small islands. We invite all Brigidines, together with our colleagues and co-workers are to celebrate the beauty of our environment and to make a pledge to take some action to make this world a better place.
