27 May 2015 announcement of visa reforms for victims of human trafficking in Australia
Community organisations – ACRATH, Anti-Slavery Australia and Salvos Freedom Partnership to End Modern Slavery – welcome the announcement on 27 May of changes to supports for victims of human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices in Australia. Minister for Social Services, the Hon. Scott Morrison and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women, Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash announced reforms in relation to victims of human trafficking for which these community groups have advocated for some time.
