An inaugural consultation in the early phase of the journey to the 2020 Plenary Council in the Australia Church was held at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney on 8 September. The day reflected on what may be required for a successful Plenary Council in 2020 which will shape the direction of the Church in Australia into the future. This was the first of a series of consultative seminars in the preparatory phase of the Plenary Council with approximately 150 people attending from various ministries and groups. Three Brigidine Sisters – Clare Keady, Margaret Daniels and Claire Griffin participated in the seminar as did a representative of Kildare Ministries.
