From 27th – 29th September the Board of UNANIMA International (UI) will hold its meeting in New York.
Brigidine Sisters are proud and active members of UNANIMA International (UI) which is a non-governmental organization (NGO) advocating on behalf of women and children (particularly those living in poverty), immigrants and refugees, and the environment. The work of UI takes place primarily at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where they and other members of civil society aim to educate and influence policymakers at the global level. In solidarity, UI works for systemic change to achieve a more just world.
Currently Margaret Fyfe csb represents the Brigidine Sisters on the Board of UI. She is attending the September 2018 Board meeting. The thoughts and prayers of all Brigidines accompany Margaret and the other Board members as they come together for this work. Following this Board meeting we look forward to receiving from Margaret news of the ongoing work of UNANIMA International.
