Child marriage is a global problem. According to UNICEF ststistics, 21% of young women are being married before they are 18 years old.
This is a surely a human rights issue. Young girls ought to have a right to an education, to safety, to a life free of poverty, to good health and to gender equality.
As women, we will continue to advocate, educate and work with others for long term change in this area of injustice for millions of young girls around the world.
