Brigidines rejoice with our Sisters and Team at Solas Bhride Kildare, following the recent Feile Bride celebrations and events in Kildare to honour the legacy of Brigid.
In 2024 the festivities, rituals and wide participation have highlighted the relevance of Brigid’s 1500 year legacy – as a Woman of Peace and Justice – in our world today.
AFRI’s annual Féile Bride Peace Conference entitled ‘The Light of Peace amidst the Clouds of War’, organised in partnership with the Brigidines and Cairde Bríde, took place on Saturday, February 10th, at Solas Bhríde Centre, Kildare town.
For the past 30+ years the annual AFRI Conference has been faithfully led by Joe Murray, AFRI Co-ordinator.
In appreciation, Phil O’Shea csb presented Joe with the Light of Brigid during the 2024 Conference.
