Brigidines acknowledge ACRATH’s commitment to advocacy for the rights of trafficked people. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions within ACRATH and across the country, ACRATH’s annual advocacy with politicians in Canberra had to be different.
A range of technologies were used to meet with several Ministers, Shadow Ministers and backbenchers from the Australian Federal Government; with departmental officers from three Departments; with other church groups, and with colleague NGOs.
Brigidine Sisters are proud members and active supporters of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans).
