Brigidine Sisters join with others in marking ANZAC Day on 25th April. This day invites all to reflect on a range of relationships involved in war, including its connection with and impact on our lands, air and oceans and all that they hold.
Let’s keep in mind and prayer this day those who fought, the ones who lost their lives in battle and all their families. We also remember the ones whose lives are changed forever by war because of the effects of violence, trauma, injuries and stress.
We especially remember all young people, women and children who are still drawn into living daily in the midst of suffering and violence caused by war in so many places in our world today and those forced to leave their homes in search of safety.
In the words of St Francis of Assisi, Lord make us instruments of your peace!
