Brigidine Sisters Seek an End to Modern Day Slavery

Brigidine Sisters are members and supporters of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans) and are encouraged to know that Australia’s Foreign Minister, Ms Marise Payne, has addressed the UN General Assembly this week on Australia’s commitment to stamping out slavery.

We will continue to advocate for the inclusion of an independent statutory officer to assist in the implementation of this Modern Slavery Bill in Australia and work with others to help bring an end to human trafficking, forced labour and all forms of modern slavery.
