A number of Brigidines in Australia recently attended a lecture given by Fr Sean McDonagh, an Irish Columban missionary priest. Fr Sean is acknowledged as one of the preeminent scholars on the encyclical, ‘Laudato Si: Care for Our Common Home’. He also has with a long involvement in caring for Creation.
Fr Sean is known around the world as an eco-theologian, and is one of those involved in the drafting of Pope Francis’ encyclical. He recently served on an advisory group meeting at the Vatican which discussed the implementation of ‘Laudato Si’.
