Churchgoers in Australia have the opportunity to be in solidarity with all who are suffering from the effects of ongoing bushfires by contributing to a special collection being organized in parishes across the country on the last weekend in January.
On that weekend, Australia Day is observed. This is a fitting time to unite as citizens and pray for Australia and her people.
In the meantime, other donations to Bushfire Appeals may be made through the St Vincent de Paul Society, Red Cross and other reputable charities.
