‘Code Red For Humanity’

At the Brigidine Congregational Forum in 2016 there was an awareness of “our mission to live within the one web of life: our common home.”

The recent release of the report by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – an in-depth report on the causes and effects of climate change, is very challenging. It alleges that human activities are “unequivocally” causing global temperatures to rise.

This report comes just months before our next Congregational Forum and just three months ahead of the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland. It adds scientific backup to calls for national governments and all to step up our advocacy and actions for combating climate change.
