As a Congregation endeavouring to become more attuned to the Cry of Earth, Brigidines acknowledge that in our time, the message – in the growing environmental concerns, diminishing natural resources and severe climate change – is louder than ever.
International Mother Earth Day, 22 April, is also more significant – drawing attention to the plight of Earth and also to the call for an active response.
One thing everyone can do:
The theme for Mother Earth Day 2024 is “Planet vs Plastics.”
Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste end up in oceans and landfills. Plastic enters the food chain, harms wildlife and pollutes our environment. Everyone can limit plastic use.
