The Gospel for the Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A is taken from Matthew 5:38 – 48. It builds on Jesus’ teaching from the Sermon on the Mount and once more stretches our thinking and our willingness to truly love.
As we hear the Gospel proclaimed this week:
Who are the ones in our own lives, who come to mind?
Who are the people you’ve met along the way who you’ve seen living this way of thinking? (Give thanks for them and ask them to help us live in this way.)
What challenges do you recognize Jesus offering you personally and all of us in our day-to-day living in community, ministry and family?
In what ways could we encourage one another to embrace this way of living?
