This annual event begins with a pilgrimage of quiet reflection, song and prayer at the Japanese Gardens in Kildare at 7.20pm on Friday 31st January 2020 – the eve of Springtime in the Northern Hemisphere. All are very welcome to attend.
Those who plan to attend are encouraged to bring a lantern and to wear suitable clothing and shoes.
On Saturday 1st February there will be a number of different activities at Solas Bhride to mark the feast of St Brigid of Kildare, including the weaving of St Brigid’s Crosses and a revisiting of some of the traditions and customs associated with St Brigid which continue to have relevance for us and for the world today.
