With news of an earthquake causing significant devastation in Mexico, Brigidine Sisters are more aware than ever of the people of Mexico with whom some of our Sisters lived and worked during the years of our Mission there.
As individuals, families, schools and businesses search for missing loved ones and deal with the experiences of shock and grief following the earthquake, we commit to remember and to pray for the survivors.
May the God of life, lead our friends and all in Mexico through the darkness of this time. Through the care and support of their friends and families may survivors slowly find ways of facing the days and weeks to come.
Let us join our prayers with whatever practical support we can pledge through the various appeals in our Churches and communities for the survivors of this earthquake eg Caritas, Red Cross etc.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, patron of Mexico, support the people of Mexico at this time.
