International Womens Day – 8 March 2021

This day is marked annually on 8 March. It is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women’s achievements; raise awareness about women’s equality; lobby for accelerated gender parity and fundraise for female-focused charities.

There are many organisations and individuals around the world, celebrating IWD.  International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. #Choose to Challenge is the theme for 2021.

A challenged world is an alert world! Individually we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day! We can all seek out and celebrate women’s achievements; and collectively, we can choose to challenge and call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping and help make a more inclusive Church and society.
