Is Brigid for real?

Brigidine Sisters and ‘Brigid 1500′  (About Brigid 1500) created and sponsored the Conference: Brigid – Woman of Mystery, Woman of Inspiration, at Solas Bhride on 22nd April, 23 (Earth Day).

Is Brigid for real?  Dr Niamh Wycherley, a medieval scholar with a deep interest in Brigid of Kildare, believes so!  During the Conference, she  presented a lecture ‘Boss Brigid: the lasting legacy of the founder of Kildare,’  and highlighted Brigid as a strong, visionary and influential individual.

Dr Niamh Brennan presented: ‘The Wild and the Sacred – Listening to the voices of Earth,’ during which participants were invited to walk in the gardens… and listen…

The inspiring activity and reflective atmosphere of the Conference are detailed beautifully on the Solas Bhride website. Click link, then scroll down:

Snippets from the Conference, as well as the beauty of the surrounding gardens, were also gently captured on this 10 minute film:
