June 12: International Day Against Child Labour

On June 12  we mark the International Day Against Child Labour. One in ten children worldwide is in child labour. However, we can all take some specific actions to change this form of exploitation.

We want to ensure that we purchase and consume responsibly by buying slavery-free chocolate, tea, coffee, eletronics and clothing – made without child labour.

June also mark the beginning of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking) annual fund raising campaign. ACRATH invites all to help restore dignity and bring hope to people who have been trafficked or enslaved.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
