Listen to the Migrants’ Cries

The intention for Pope Francis’ Worldwide Prayer Network in February 2020  is “that the cries of our migrant brothers and sisters, victims of criminal trafficking, may be heard and considered.”

Some current responses to this challenge by Brigidine Sisters around the Congregation include:

HOSPITALITY (friendship, housing, food and material support, helping find employment and family language programs);

NETWORKING with others to bring about justice for migrants;

ADVOCACY (lobbying for peoples’ rights, proposing alternatives)

EDUCATION (awareness raising, participation and involvement, deepening understandings and empathy)
