Make This a Slavery Free Easter

The spike in chocolate sales around Easter is an opportunity for consumers to reconsider who produces our chocolate and how it is produced.  While large chocolate companies may create the impression they are doing the right thing by workers and the environment in fact these businesses may be involved in exploitative and harmful practices. Become more aware of justice issues around this billion dollar industry by reading the following:

We can all do something – Whether we are young, old, working or retired, we can all do something about this – make a choice to purchase only Easter chocolate that is certified as slavery free eg Fair Trade UTZ, Rainbow Alliance etc and talk with others about why you’re taking this action.
