Young people attending World Youth in Panama between January 22 – 27 have called attention to the world’s environmental problems by issuing what they called a “manifesto” for the “care of the common home.”
Pope Francis, who has travelled from Rome to Panama, to be involved in the celebrations with young people from around the world will surely hear echoes of some of the challenges he issued in “Laudato Si” in recent years.
Brigidine Sisters also hear echoes of the invitations and calls they received from their last General Chapter in Tullow. May this reminder renew our commitment to honour and care for our common home and to work with young people to respond to these urgent calls.
