New South Wales Community to Launch its History – Providence Provides

NSW Community to Launch its History, Providence Provides

2013 marks 130 years since the six Brigidine women from Mountrath, Co Laois Ireland made the first Australian foundation in Coonamble, of the New South Wales.

The history spans the life and ministry of the first six Sisters from their arrival in Coonamble, Western NSW in 1883 to the celebration of the Bicentenary of the Congregation in 2007. The book, Providence Provides, Brigidine Sisters in the New South Wales Province, is the work of the author, Dr Janice Garaty.

Congratulations to the Brigidine Sisters of New South Wales and their colleagues as they celebrate 130 years of ministry and service in the spirit of Bishop Delany and St Brigid in the states of NSW, Queensland and Western Australia and in Papua New Guinea over these years!
