Nomination: Victorian Senior Australian of the Year

Brigidine Sisters are delighted to have received the news that Brigid Arthur CSB is one of the nominees for the 2022 Australians of the Year Award in the category of ‘Victorian Senior Australian of the  Year’.

We know that Brigid’s work over many years, and more recently with the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project, comes from her deep faith in the Gospel of Jesus and her strong belief in justice for all people, especially the marginalized. Congratulations Brigid, we are so proud of you and your ministry!

The award recipient from Victoria will be announced on the evening of Wednesday 10 November 2021 in an online, livestreamed ceremony. They will then join the other state and territory recipients as finalists for the national awards announcement on 25 January 2022.
