Peace Begins with Dignity: A Global Call to End Human Trafficking

Brigidines acknowledge and participate in the International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking  which is held each year on 8th February, the Feast of St Josephine Bakhita.

The theme for this year,
Peace Begins with Dignity: A Global Call to End Human Trafficking,’
echoes Pope Leo’s reminder that:
“that true peace is gentle and humble, born of love, and sustained where human dignity is upheld.” (World Day of Peace 2026)

The Day encourages all people of goodwill to join a global movement of prayer, reflection, and action against the injustice of human trafficking.
