During April we are invited to join Pope Francis’ Worldwide Prayer Network in praying that those suffering from all forms of addiction may be helped and accompanied.
Call to mind the women and men you may know who suffer from an addiction to gambling, pain killers, alcohol or other drugs.
Pray the following prayer for them as they live with these struggles:
God grant me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot change,
Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
