During the month of May we join with others around the world in praying that the Church in Africa, through the commitment of its members, may be the seed of unity among her peoples and a sign of hope for this continent and the wider world.
We pray in particular this month for the Church in Kenya where Brigidines have lived and ministered for a significant number of years.
Brigidine Sisters are also currently involved in supporting Wanawake kwa Wanawake and their funding group, Women for Women in Africa.
Brigidine Sister Loretta Brennan is a board member of the Wanawake kwa Wanawake in Nairobi. Through the Brigidine Congregational Projects Fund, we are supporting the construction of accommodation for twenty students which will enable these young people to continue their education and go on to work for unity and hope among their communities.
