Traditionally Palm Sunday is the day Christians remember Jesus processing into Jerusalem. In more recent times it has become the day when Christians in every country, together with people of other faith or of no faith, join in walking in their cities and towns for justice for refugees and asylum seekers.
Now is a good time to consider how you might celebrate Palm Sunday on 25 March by joining in a Walk For Justice in your area. Check local papers and links for details.
Those unable to participate in a Walk for Justice this year, are encouraged to plan to be in solidarity through their prayer on Palm Sunday – praying for the millions of refugees seeking a safe place for them and their families to live, free from persecution, violence, environmental crises and war and for generosity and compassion in the hearts of all their brothers and sisters.
