As we enter into the Second Week of Advent and continue preparations for celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas we encounter the prophetic messenger, John the Baptizer.
As the earlier prophet Isaiah heralded: “See, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way; the voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare
the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’
