Remembering Our Links With Mexico

A number of Brigidine Sisters lived and ministered among the people of Mexico during the years of our mission there. While all Communities supported this mission, some other Brigidines, friends and supporters had the privilege of visiting the people in Xalapa and Mozamboa in Veracruz and Comitan in Chiapas.

The heartbreaking news of the devastating impacts of Covid-19 in Mexico calls us to continue to pray for and support the Mexican people through aid agencies in our various countries eg Caritas, Red Cross etc and to advocate for people’s rights to justice and especially to better health resources.

We reach out in awareness and compassion also to our own Brigidine Sisters who spent many years on mission in Mexico and who still carry in their hearts that nation and her people.
