A human rights organisation in Poland reports that suspected pimps are preying on vulnerable Ukrainian women and children escaping conflict in their cities and towns in Ukraine.
These traffickers often approach the millions of women and children near refugee shelter points or at bus stops, offering transport, work or accommodation. In such circumstances individuals can go missing and be difficult to trace or find.
It is obvious that conflict, violence and war always leaves women, girls and children more vulnerable to being trafficked and exploited.
We recommit to bringing an end to war and to offer support in whatever ways we can to refugees and trafficked people.
