After a period of closure due to Covid-19 restrictions, the community of Solas Bhride in Kildare will re-open from Monday 6th July. Visitors and pilgrims are welcome to call ahead and book a visit. The hermitages and other facilities are also open again for pre-bookings and arrangements have been made for required social distancing , cleaning etc to ensure the safety of all visitors and employees.

Although Solas Bhride is in a new time and context it continues in the footsteps of Brigid of Kildare. Renowned as a peacemaker, woman of the land, advocate of the poor and a woman of hospitality Brigid’s legacy is more than ever relevant for our world today.
