St Brigid, the Irish patron saint who, despite living over 1500 years ago, still has a relevant message for some of the acute challenges of the 21st century was celebrated during a recent concert in Kildare. Brigid leaves an example of the importance of being in tune with the delicate balance of nature, the value of female leadership and the pursuit of peace and unity through justice.
The following performances from Ireland’s leading soprano of Kildare, Céline Byrne, Brian Crehan on Uileann Pipes, theLeixlip Ceoltas Group, 11 year old Eva Whittaker from Prosperous, and two shining lights from the Philips family in Kildare, Katelynn & Holly.
