State of the Environment for Oceania

The Caritas State of the Environment for Oceania report series has monitored critical issues affecting the life and wellbeing of Oceania and its people since 2014.

The five main issues being monitored are : rising sea levels and coastal erosion, extreme weather, access to safe local food and water, offshore mining and drilling and climate finance.

This report was launched in recent weeks at St Mary’s Church Papakura, New Zealand followed by a presentation at the Caritas Office Wellington and offers much food for thought.
