In the final week of September, three members of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Human Trafficking) will join approximately ninety others in Rome for the 2019 General Assembly of Talitha Kum.
Talitha Kum is ‘an international network of networks’ in the Church committed to working to eliminate human trafficking in the world.
The theme of the Assembly is “Together Against Trafficking in Persons: Weaving a Web of Love“.
While most events during the week will be held at the UISG Regina Mundi Centre there will also be a celebration of the Eucharist at St Peter’s Basilica, visits to the Australian and US embassies to the Holy See and an audience with Pope Francis.
You are invited to pray for those travelling to and attending this Assembly, as they celebrate and evaluate the work of the past ten years and plan for ongoing work in the future.
