At the end of the 2016 Congregational Forum in Tullow, Ireland our Brigidine Congregational Leadership Team stated in their Closing Message:
“In these perilous times on our planet we have been inspired to listen more deeply to the one cry of Earth and her peoples. The Invitation and Call of the Forum is extended to each of us as well as to our associates and colleagues, urging us to specific actions as well as to an attentive presence to the ordinary in everyday life.”
Sir David Attenborough recently spoke to delegates at a UN climate summit in Poland expressing a similar invitation and call:
‘If we don’t take action the collapse of our civilisations and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon”.
