Are you aware that too often the women who make our clothes are not paid enough to escape poverty? No matter how hard they work, they cannot afford basic food and shelter for themselves and their family – their wages are simply too low.
We know that a life of poverty can lead to people being vulnerable to human trafficking and slavery. After viewing the following short video which is part of OXFAM’s campaign for a fair wage for garment workers, talk with others and decide what action you will take to stand in solidarity with these women and let clothing companies know that you demand they pay their workers a living wage.
