Brigidines acknowledge World Day of Social Justice on February 20 and the 2023 theme: “Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Opportunities for Social Justice”
In the footsteps of Brigid of Kildare and Daniel Delany, working to build a more just society is intrinsic to our mission as Brigidines.
We continue this mission, in a variety of formal and informal ways as advocates for people who are marginalized in our world today – asylum seekers, refugees, travellers, indigenous and islander peoples and people vulnerable to being trafficked and exploited.
This year young people from around the world contributed to the Global Pilgrimage raising awareness against Human Trafficking. Take some time to view the opportunities offered in this short presentation: Pilgrimage for Dignity (Source: ACRATH)
Brigidine Sisters, together with our partners in ministry, colleagues and friends continue to seek ways to share welcome, companionship, dignity and practical support with and for asylum seekers and refugees. Through advocacy, practical assistance and prayer we stand in solidarity and support.
