Brigidine Sisters give thanks that Pope Francis is recovering well after recent serious surgery.  As he greeted the public last weekend he said, “I thank you all: I have deeply felt your closeness and the support of your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

He went on to call emphasize the need for health care systems that are available to all.

He added the following challenge, “the vocation of the church is not to have money, it is to provide service, and the service is always free.”
