Even though we know the Advent season well, let’s not rush past the new possibilities that the God of Life is offering us in these weeks.
This is a time of hopeful waiting! Just as the people of old waited in hope for the coming of God’s Messiah to forgive and to restore, we wait in hope for Jesus’ way to break forth in our lives and in our world today.
Is there any image more hopeful than the light of a single candle overcoming the darkness?
This first week of Advent tells us once again that God has never forgotten the unfolding of creation or of humankind. This season invites the discouraged, the weary and the sore of heart, to rekindle hope.
Brigidine Sisters invite our associates, colleagues in ministry, past pupils and all to join with us as we pray and work this Advent for hope to be born anew!
