Each year, the World Day for Migrants and Refugees invites us to pay attention to people who are in desperate need.
Brigidnes are mindful of the plight of people seeking asylum in the countries in which we live.
With our colleagues, associates and community connections we are committed to walking with and for Migrants and Refugees – sharing hospitality, dignity and support in a variety of ways.
The Vatican World Day for Migrants and Refugees (WDMR) 2024 is on 29th September and Pope Francis highlights companionship, calling all of us to walk with the most vulnerable – at the very least, to walk ‘a piece of the road together.’

Environmental migration happens when people are forced to leave their habitual homes due to climate impact that adversely affects their lives or living conditions.
The Brigidine Congregation partners with and supports the work of the Pacific Calling Partnership. PCP aims to walk with the peoples of the Pacific in advocacy and leadership as climate impact threatens their lands, homes and lives.
