February 11 is World Day of the Sick, an observation started by Pope John Paul II as a way for believers to offer prayers for those suffering from illnesses.
This is a day on which we think of those who are isolated or marginalized by sickness. Let us pray on this day that the God of all life will raise up others to help heal them and break down any barriers to social isolation.
On this particular World Day of the Sick we remember especially those who’ve been infected with the coronavirus and the thousands isolated or separated from their families and homes for an extended period because of sickness.
